Stephanie Samaroo Peloso, Co-Founder

steph headshotI’ve spent the past several years producing and managing social promotions for major brands and agencies.  I help match marketing goals with program strategies, and am a detail oriented project manager.  I’m intimate with the nuts and bolts of running video, photo, and essay contests, and sweepstakes, from the simple to extremely complex, and manage a team that handles all the legal and technical requirements for promotions. I also manage development and continually update our platform to work with emerging technologies to help our clients take advantage of all that social media and mobile have to offer.  I live in Princeton, NJ with my awesome husband, Drew, our three amazing kids who help keep me on my social media toes, 2 hamsters, 4 frogs and several fish.

Drew Peloso, Co-Founder

drewheadDrew Peloso is an Internet advertising and social media pioneer and serial entrepreneur with over sixteen years experience creating innovative companies, campaigns, and media solutions. He sets strategic direction for Shycast and manages the company’s business development initiatives.

Drew has a long history as an interactive agency creative and business management officer.  He was a member of the founding team of NBC Interactive, working on the design of the very first www.nbc.com and managing NBC’s nascent relationship with Microsoft that would become MSNBC. He was later Vice President of MarketSource Corporation and head of its pioneering MSI division, a Top-50 web agency that was among the first to create social campaigns for hundreds of Fortune 1000 brands like Chevy, Microsoft, and 7Up. Drew developed partnerships with many of the emerging Internet companies including Yahoo!, Excite, Ebay, and Cnet, and operated MarketSource’s venerable t@p Network, the leading web destination for college students at the time.

In 2006 Drew launched Shycast to help advertisers engage their most influential customers through contests and competitions (https://goo.gl/SHnZ16).  Shycast partnered with global public relations leader Weber Shandwick, along with Unilever, IKEA North America, and Warner Music, and launched the first social network for brands and people in January 2007. Since then, Shycast has emerged as a leader in the social media landscape and specialist in activating real communities to engage with the company’s brand clients.

Previously, Drew co-founded Onclave which was among the pioneers of the blogging and syndicated content movement, and developer of one of the first hosted, enterprise-class blog platforms. The Onclave ASP blogging service was adopted by leading public relations firms and Onclave was at the time among the loudest advocates ushering the PR industry into the blogosphere. Onclave’s strategic relationship with the Council of PR Firms helped produce one of the first and longest-running “C-level” industry blogs.

Drew has an MBA from Cornell University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with his wife and three kids.
